Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Husky / Mixed

Labrador Retriever / Husky / Mixed Dog

Kinley the Dog needs a home

Kinley is a little over 4 months old and an "an amazing village mix" that likely includes lab, husky and some setter. She is smart, very food motivated, energetic (couch potatoes need not apply), with a little stubborn streak. She loves to play ball, is pretty good at walking on a leash, and really good about going into her kennel. A fenced yard is required. We are still working on potty training and she is getting better. Kinley likes people, other dogs, and has been good with cats. She would really like a doggy companion that is calm and patient with her rambunctious playing and knows how to appropriately and gently correct her. Kinley would do best in a home with adults only or older children right now since she is pretty mouthy and still learning her manners. Most importantly – her new people need to be CONFIDENT, CALM, AND CONSISTENT. Be patient and give her healthy boundaries with calm but firm corrections/redirection as needed and lots of positive reinforcement and affection when she is good.

Kinley is being fostered as a home adoption, which means you won’t likely see her at an adoption clinic. If you are interested, you can submit an application online with AARF. Good potential matches will be forwarded to her foster family and will be asked to meet her through a visit at your home before decision is made for final placement.
